UAE Visa Amnesty Scheme 2024

The UAE is giving 2 months Visa amnesty for people who have overstayed in the country.

Duration of Amnesty 2024

The grace period for the Amnesty 2024 starts on 01st September and ends on 31st October. The amnesty program will allow people with expired documents to change their visa status, by either getting a job or leaving the country.

According to General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs
Major General Obaid Mehayer Bin Suroor said:

The people who apply for visa amnesty and they want to leave the country, they can come again without any ban and they can come any time

Officials have set up locations across the country to process your amnesty application.

Abu Dhabi

You can apply at ICP centers in
1. Dhafra
2. Suwaihan
3. Maqa
4. Shahama

Dubai

You can go to any of its
1. Amer Service Centers
2. Center for Immigration Violators in Al Awir

Fear of Fine

This amnesty is especially targeted for those people who are reluctant to come forward due to concerns about potential fines or jail sentences.

Major General Obaid Mehayer Bin Suroor said:

Don't be afraid, go to any service center in Dubai or other parts of the UAE mentioned. They can apply easily without any fine and they can leave the country or they can come back. So, I encourage them to go without any fear

The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has instructed appropriate government employees to help foreign nationals obtain legal documentation. Pakistan’s government is dedicated to facilitate its foreign residents. Pakistani nationals are already receiving assistance from the Pakistani Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, and they are highly encouraged to take advantage of this amnesty policy in order to obtain legal resident status or leave the UAE without incurring penalties during this time.
